You might have notice in the video that I lost part of the left eye while cutting. It happens, most of the time nobody knows but you when you make a mistake on a scroll saw piece. Once you peal the tape off, there is nothing to compare it to. So say, "it is part of the art."
A short "how to"
Get yourself some 1/4" plywood.
Cover that plywood with masking tape (i like blue). Spray the tape with adhesive. I use Elmer's brand glue for this. Now pop some holes in the pattern with a 1/16" drill bit. And here we go, scroll, scroll, scroll. I've grown to love Flying Dutchman Spiral blade. Lightly sand the piece with some 320 grit sand paper. Free pattern found here

I would like to do a portraiture of my grandson. What software do you use to produce your stencil patterns, such as the Shattner piece?
